Cashew Apple Crisp
Ingredients
¼ lb. raw cashews, lightly crushed
6-8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
Vegan butter/margarine, softened
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup wheat flour
¼ cup oats
1 tsp. cinnamon
A dash of nutmeg
Directions
Preheat oven to 375o F
Combine cashews, sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Stir together until evenly mixed.
Add vegan butter/margarine to the mixture above and mix
thoroughly with a fork or strong whisk.
Set aside
Place apples in an ungreased pan and spread them out.
Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over the apples
Bake at 375o F for 20-30 minutes until apples are tender and
the topping is golden brown.
Serve warm.
